Last April 2, 2023, the Anthonian Institute celebrated PALM SUNDAY.
It is a sign of the start of the Holy Week. For Catholics, Palm Sunday is very important. It is the day where Jesus started to enter Jerusalem in order to fulfill His Mission for humanity. His mission to save the humanity from sinfulness by dying on the cross. In the morning, Fr. Herbie celebrated Palm Sunday at 10:00 AM together with the Polish faithful. They started with the Blessing of the Palms and procession to the chapel. In the afternoon at 17:00 PM, the Filipino community had their blessings of the Palms with Fr. Tirso as the Main celebrant. In the homily of Fr. Tirso, he stressed on the importance of the Holy Week wherein the Focus is not anymore the self but of JESUS. He is the main actor of this Holy Week where He will show to the faithful His Humility, His Self-Emptying and Dying for the sins of humanity so that there will be life to the redeemed. After the celebration, a simple agape was served.
