Last January 22, 2023, the Filipino Community and some other friends from Poland celebrated ”ASH WEDNESDAY” at 18:30 PM at the Chapel of the community of the Anthonian Institute.
Fr. Herbie celebrated the Holy Mass and concelebrated by Fr. Tirso and Fr. Mike. The celebration was solemnly celebrated with the invitation of Fr. Herbie in his homily on the 3 pillars of the Lenten Observance. He said, that for the people to be closely connected with this season of Lent, they have to observe these 3 pillar of the lenten observance, PRAYER, FASTING and ALMSGIVING. These 3 helps every Christian to see this season as Grace by keeping it through our practice. It is also a moment of reconciling ourselves to God and the ashes reminds every believer of God that ”Every Person is nothing without God. After his homily, the imposition of the ashes that was previously blessed was executed.
