On December 4, Sunday, the Community organized the annual Advent retreat for the english-speaking community. At 1230, the participants started coming in while those who took charge of the logistics and provisions busily prepared everything.
Rev. Fr. De Silva commenced on this conference pertaining Advent and what does this season require every christian to celebrate. After the short break, Rev. Fr. Alcover followed in his talk about Advent the wellspring of Christmas. After the short break, the participants proceeded with the Penitential Service where the Blessed Sacrament was exposed for adoration and penitents started to line up for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Holy Rosary was recited before the benediction. At 5pm, the Holy Mass followed then it culminated with the agape.
As we are entering the holy season of Advent, we wished one and all a very fruitful and grace-filled celebration of the coming of the Saviour Jesus Christ.
