Fr. Tirso Alcover, Jr., is a native of Toledo City, Cebu, Philippines. He entered the Rogationist of the Heart of Jesus congregation at the age of 16 in the Rogationist Seminary, Cebu and completed his Philosophy in the year 2002.
He finished his theological studies at the Don Bosco Center of Studies in Paranaque in 2010. He was ordained priest by Archbishop Socrates Villegas on December 10, 2010. His first assignment as a priest is at the Rogationist Seminary - Manila and serve as Vocation Promoter in the different regions of Luzon until 2014. His next assignment was in the St. Anthony’s Boys Village of Davao until 2016. after his 2 years of stay in Davao as Vice Superior and Treasurer, he was assigned in the Parish of St. Lawrence the Deacon Parish and took the role of a Principal in St. Lawrence the Deacon Academy of Bangui, Ilocos Norte. After 3 years as principal, he was sent to Floris Island in Maumere, Indonesia to take care of the seminarians in their Philosophical studies and serve as Prefect of Discipline and Studies until 2022. Currently, he is assign as missionary in the community of the Rogationist in Warsaw, Poland.
