On May 28, Saturday, on the occasion of the 1st memorial of Blessed Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski, thirteen (13) young deacons received their presbyteral order through the imposition of the hands of His Eminence Kazimierz Cardinal Nycz, the Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Warsaw.
The event was held at the Shrine of the Divine Providence in Wilanow, Warsaw at 10,00am. Rev. Fr. Piotr Korzewa, during his diaconal service worked in the Good Shepherd Parish where the Rogationist Community belongs. The neo-presbyter frequented the Community at various liturgical and civic gatherings. Being able to speak english fluently, he also assisted in the Community's english gatherings.
There were a vast crowd during the ordination rite. A great number belonged to the parents and relatives of the ordinands as well as hundred of concelebrating priests and a handful of bishops too. Fr. Herbie represented the Community during the event and wished the newly ordained priest a successful and fruitful mission. Cheers echoed inside the shrine as the neo-presbyters received their first pastoral assignments at the end of the celebration. Let us continue to pray for these young men so that they can also inspire new vocations in the Church.
